  1. I was informed this week I would be losing my teaching position after 20 years of service. It seems once again education of today’s youth takes a back seat to corporate greed. There comes a point in life where it seems circumstances conspire to make you keenly aware of the fact that there is less ahead and more behind. I have been listening to Rush for over 20 years and though I am sad they have stopped recording I am happy they recorded at all. And as I get older I find new connections and meaning each time I listen to their music. As I embark on the next chapter of my life, I am thankful Rush will be there with me. I know I will never meet Alex, Neil and Getty personally and they will never really know what their music means to me, but I am thankful all the same. I think I speak on behalf of many fans when I say thank you, though thank you doesn’t seem quite enough…

    When we are young
Wandering the face of the earth
Wondering what our dreams might be worth
    Learning that we're only immortal
    For a limited time
