I was informed this week I would be losing my teaching position after 20 years of service. It seems once again education of today’s youth takes a back seat to corporate greed. There comes a point in life where it seems circumstances conspire to make you keenly aware of the fact that there is less ahead and more behind. I have been listening to Rush for over 20 years and though I am sad they have stopped recording I am happy they recorded at all. And as I get older I find new connections and meaning each time I listen to their music. As I embark on the next chapter of my life, I am thankful Rush will be there with me. I know I will never meet Alex, Neil and Getty personally and they will never really know what their music means to me, but I am thankful all the same. I think I speak on behalf of many fans when I say thank you, though thank you doesn’t seem quite enough…
