Foo Fighters Acknowledge Rush Influence On "Rope"

Before it was even released, critics commented on how much the new Foo Fighter's single "Rope" sounded like Rush. When interviewed by MTV, Taylor Hawkins stated that when approaching the drums on this record he "threw a Neil Peart [pronounced Pert] lick in" and goes on to say  "I owe Neil Peart a lot of money for the chorus of 'Rope'.
